Stage and Technical Requirements
Jeff Newman strives to ensure that his productions run smoothly and worry-free. Set-up and tech are specifically designed to ensure that the performances can be adapted to almost any space and audience size. Minimum Stage Dimensions And Requirements:
End-on and/or proscenium seating.
The minimum stage dimensions required are 4.5 meters (approx. 14' 8") wide and 3 (approx. 9' 10") meters deep.
Easy and safe accessibility for both the performer and audience members to come on and off stage from audience seating (steps, low stage, etc.)
is required.
No minimum or maximum stage height is required.
Wing, backstage, or storage space of some kind to keep and prepare props, cases, tools, or other items not during use in the performance is needed
Two small tables and a chair (can be provided by Jeff Newman with notice).
Load In and Load Out: 2 hours.
Lighting and Video Requirements:
Audience visibility is required. Lighting that allows both the performer to see the audience from the stage and the ability for audience members to safely make their way on and off stage is needed. House lights are typically sufficient.
Space to set up and display a projector and screen (preferably on stage).
Internet/cell phone access (optional).
General warm and cool washes.
Spotlight if possible (but not necessary).
Sound Requirements:
Access to a soundboard to connect a Sennheiser EW-D wireless headset microphone system OR
A provided wireless headset or lavaliere microphone.
Attachment for playback of basic music cues (supplied by Jeff Newman either as a QLab workspace to be uploaded on a laptop provided by the venue or a 3.5 mm auxiliary jack or HDMI connection to attach a laptop for sound output).
